About the client

Not Selling Liquid is an e-commerce digital agency focussed on creating fashion Shopify web stores. The goal of this project was to redesign the website and make it more appealing.

My role

I designed this website together with an intern that I help guide. I was responsible for the UX and the rebranding of the company.

Research

Competitor analysis

Getting a good look into the competition led us into knowing what styles and content were common amongst the many agencies. So this research helped us make a unique looking style. These are some brands with some of our findings:

Sitemapping

The sitemap for Not Selling Liquid was very simple. The main goal was to let users contact the agency as quickly as possible. So every page contains a static link to the contact page.

Mid size fashion brands

We targeted this design for users that have heard of the company and would take a look at the website out of curiosity. It needs to bring a sign of authority and trust.

Prototyping

Wireframes

This project was a bit different than my usual work process. It was important to create the visual style first and then make a lot of variations for each page. We did do a lo-fi wireframe session where we created pages that included the type of content it needed to hold. Overall we made hi-fi wireframes and animations to test out.

Final designs

Case study

The beginning of the page showcases a big image to interest the user. It was important to also immediately show the impact NSL had on the brand itself. We did this by showcasing important statistics. Furthermore there are a lot of images to showcase the product.

Homepage

The entire website is built with blocks, which gives it a unique looking grid. With the animations it makes the brand very aesthetically pleasing and professional. The use of big high res images make the website standout.

Blog collection

Showcasing big images will attract the users a lot more than then the titles itself. This makes the chance of the article being read a lot higher.

Contact form

A very unique looking contact form that definitely gives that message that the agency is different from others. Also showcasing the contact information gives the option to pick the best contact option possible for the user.
