From YouTube backgrounds to complex SAAS products
At the age of 15, I started designing YouTube backgrounds for clients who paid me €5 per design. This sparked my interest in design, and I subsequently pursued Communication and Multimedia Design at the University of Amsterdam.
During my studies, I discovered my passion for UX/UI design and knew it was the right direction for me.After graduating, I began designing websites and apps for both large and small clients. My work ranged from simple websites that provided basic information to complex SAAS products.
I gained valuable experience by working for an international design agency, as well as startups and mid-sized agencies. This gave me a solid understanding of how the industry works and helped me to become a well-rounded designer.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work alongside many experts in their respective fields, and I have learned a great deal from them. Their insights and mentorship have helped shape me into the designer I am today.
As a UX/UI designer, I have a strong understanding of the design process and prefer to utilize the design thinking method whenever possible. I strive to be involved in every aspect of a project, from talking to the client and gathering data to solving problems, creating visually stunning designs, and communicating effectively with development and marketing teams.
Through my involvement in each project, I have been able to expand my skills beyond UX/UI design to think more technically and provide support to development teams. I am now capable of creating websites in Webflow and have worked closely with marketing teams to understand how products can be marketed most effectively, including through SEO, advertising, sales funnels, and data analysis.
Overall, I see myself as more than just a UX/UI designer and believe that my diverse skill set makes me a valuable asset to any team.

As a guideline, my average hourly rate is €90 ($90), but I am open to discussing individual projects to ensure a mutually beneficial arrangement.

As a senior UX/UI designer, I have over 5 years of experience in the field. I have worked on a range of projects, including mobile apps, web applications, and e-commerce websites. My expertise includes user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
How do you approach user research and user testing?
I believe that user research and user testing are critical components of the design process. Before starting any project, I conduct user interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis to understand the user's needs and pain points. I also use tools like Google Analytics and Hotter to gather quantitative data. Once I have a clear understanding of the user's needs, I create user personas and user journeys to inform the design.

My approach to UX/UI design projects is based on the design thinking method. It involves empathizing with users to understand their needs, defining the problem, ideating and generating ideas, prototyping and testing the design, and iterating based on feedback. This approach helps me create user-friendly products that meet the user's needs.
